With our successful debate competition in 2021, Knovo and RedDot Education are proud to launch our new debate workshops for 2022!
Kids start by having fun and learning to speak confidently from a young age. As they grow older, students learn to elaborate on arguments, understand different points of view and express their opinions clearly.
These invaluable skills will assist and benefit them greatly throughout their school and adult working life.
Suitable for ages: 7 – 12 years old
Lessons timing: Every Tuesday (7pm – 8pm, UTC+8)
or Every Sunday (7pm – 8pm, UTC+8)

This class aims to teach primary school students to succinctly express themselves clearly to those around them through using persuasive arguments. It aims to help students refine and hone their ideas to be more acceptable to those listening. In a world where students are taught to collect information passively, critical thinking is lacking in our generation today.
This series of customized classes focuses on growing the students critical thinking skills. Each class trains students to examine the topics they’ve been assigned on, through honing their thoughts, discarding concepts and theories that don’t make sense and adopt ones that do.
Get started in the world of debate as a new speaker! For Primary school students, learn the art of argumentation, logical thinking and channel your skills into a speech! The basics of debate will be instilled into students, giving them a head start on their debate journey!
Students will be exposed to age-appropriate debate topics. Each student has the opportunity to start at Level 1 and progress to Level 3. At each level, the content and skills taught will allow all students to engage with world issues and see how to build arguments, construct clashes and progressively refine speaking skills.
This is a comprehensive programme that takes a student through critical thinking and responsiveness for primary school years.

Looking to enhance your child’s debating prowess? Our Debate 201 programme focuses on growing your child’s current potential and shaping it to be even more potent, with strategies that are used in competitive settings like the World Schools Debating Championships (WSDC)!
The programme teaches the WSDC format for debate and teaches mastery of the format through the SEE methodology. This is a Level 1 to Level 3 programme that creates scaffolded learning for Secondary school students who want to master the art and the science of debating. The topics discussed are contemporary and make the students cognizant of current affairs. Persuasive debate techniques are taught to ensure the development of sophisticated methods for engaging an audience. Students can progress in a schematic manner to grown themselves as confident secondary school debaters.

Join the RedDot Junior Debate League! With regular competitions available, take this chance to debate and learn from students across the world. Hone your skills and become even better at debating!

My P5 boy likes Sunday Spars as it is so different from school. He learnt to organise his thoughts within a short time and present his argument fluidly. The coaches are very interesting and friendly that it makes debating so fun and engaging. Thumbs up!

I really liked the event. My son enjoyed it a lot too he learn a lot and he can’t wait for the next event. The opportunity was really a special one where u can’t even get it at school and I found that the discussions as a whole was very wonderful as my son got to get with other debaters and gain insights about topics like our current education and what are the pros and cons about it. Over all this was the best debate session my son had ever been to.
