Job Description
Your duty as the Product Development Engineer is to play an integral role in the research, creation, development, and management of the product roadmap for the products of Knovo, particularly video, classroom conferencing features and its network’s associated products. The role requires a transformative and collaborative mindset to work with cross-functional teams and must be analytical, solutions-focused, and be able to execute product initiatives across multiple business units simultaneously to solve business challenges and deliver value for the company.
You will be leading efforts together with the Tech team members on the development of Knovo’s intuitive and impactful tech products from conceptualization to the final introduction into the target markets. You are encouraged to experiment and iterate features for a diverse range of projects with a creative, determined, and bold mindset.

Key Responsibilities
- Drive the transformational initiatives, best practices on development and improvement of new and existing tech products and its features.
- Lead product ideas and work with internal tech teams, UX designers in the development and execution of product roadmaps.
- Undertake market competitiveness assessments and continually evolve product roadmaps to ensure market relevance and competitiveness.
- Oversee product lifecycle from ideation to minimum viable product development, to user testing and launch.
- Lead the development of business cases and product specification for new features or products and plan for and oversee their development and implementation.
- Remain abreast of and research industry technical trends and new development for application in product development.
- Collect data, user feedback, and market research to build business models and use cases for product development and commercialization.
- Integrate usability testing, research, and market analysis into product requirement management to enhance user satisfaction, experience and market competitiveness.
- Build business cases for new products based on Knovo’s Innovation Product pillars (Market desirability, Tech feasibility and Economic viability).
- Execute characterization data collection, analysis, and report preparation to ensure effective development and implementation of product roadmap.
- Ensure the design parameters and prototypes of any new technologies adopted are correctly identified, trial and tested to meet performance requirements.
- Write product requirements and feature specifications, collaborate with developers in preparing UX projects and UI mock-ups, and create product documentation.
- Work closely with internal tech and vendors in the development of product specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria for development sprints etc.
- Assist in the modification and enhancement of Knovo products and/or customer/internal systems.
- Design efficient, maintainable, reliable software design programs using industry standards to perform analysis, implementation, testing, and deployment of application.
Education & Qualification
Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, IT or a related field.
Work Experience
We welcome fresh grads in the related field or entry level executives. Experience in the education or professional training industry will be a plus.
Requirements
- Good knowledge in NodeJS, ReactJS, MongoDB, user interfaces, HTML5, C++, JavaScript and web frameworks.
- Familiar in using Google Analytics, Google Adwords, Facebook Ads Manager.
- Knowledge in understanding and drawing system diagrams and process workflow.
- Knowledge of UIUX design process and the use of Figma for design and prototyping.
- Good experience in designing, presenting, and demonstrating new technology products to clients
- Highly motivated, self-started, resourceful, energetic individual who can work well independently and as a team effectively across multi-cultural work environment.
- Creative and prepared to think outside the box; willing to take the initiative and to present solutions rather than problems.
- Excellent planning/organisational skills and ability to prioritise and multitask.
- Strong business integrity & holds sensitive information in confidence.
