About RedDot Juniors Online Debate Competition 2021

The three-day Round-Robin debate competition for ages 7 – 12 will consist of 5 Rounds of high-quality debates. Prizes and certificates will be given to all participants, and there will be a chance to receive top-notch feedback after every match!
Before the start of the competition, there will be an online workshop with breakout sessions according to skill and experience level of students, conducted by RedDot Academy’s very own coaches, to get you in tip-top debate shape.

Why Join The Competition?

Research, reasoning, and even public speaking skills are just a few of the many benefits that come with learning debating. From planning your argument – even if it’s one you disagree with – to choosing your words with care, debating can prepare you to take on any challenge life may present to you.

This competition allows your child to have fun while learning the concepts of critical thinking, structuring their thoughts and ideas, and improve their confidence through public speaking

As a debater, your child would be exposed to critical thinking, improving on their research skills, articulation, emotional control & public speaking from a young age. These invaluable skills would stay with your child and help them to grow and excel throughout their school and adult working life.

If my child is new to debating, would the competition be too difficult for them?

This competition is specially designed for students with all levels of debating experience.

For those who are newcomers to debating, they can take part and still enjoy the competition process. Through taking part in the competition, they will learn how to formulate their thoughts, use critical thinking and improve on their public speaking skills.

If my child is joining as an individual, how will they be grouped?

Your child will be grouped according to age & school level by RedDot Academy’s coaches.

Our coaches will take the child’s previous debating experiences into consideration to provide them with the best learning experience through the competition.

I have further questions regarding the debate competition.

Please feel free to call or WhatsApp to share your queries with us 🙂
