Why Join The Competition?

Research, reasoning, and even public speaking skills are just a few of the many benefits that come with learning debating. From planning your argument – even if it’s one you disagree with – to choosing your words with care, debating can prepare you to take on any challenge life may present to you.

This competition allows your child to have fun while learning the concepts of critical thinking, structuring their thoughts and ideas, and improve their confidence through public speaking

As a debater, your child would be exposed to critical thinking, improving on their research skills, articulation, emotional control & public speaking from a young age. These invaluable skills would stay with your child and help them to grow and excel throughout their school and adult working life.

    FAQ

Is this a physical or virtual event?

The competition would be hosted virtually on Knovo platform. All participants would be given a learner’s account to log in during the competition period.

If my child is new to debating, would the competition be too difficult for them?

This competition is specially designed for students with all levels of debating experience.

For those who are newcomers to debating, they can take part and still enjoy the competition process. Through taking part in the competition, they will learn how to formulate their thoughts, use critical thinking and improve on their public speaking skills.

If my child is joining as an individual, how will they be grouped?

Your child will be grouped according to age & school level by RedDot Academy’s coaches.

Our coaches will take the child’s previous debating experiences into consideration to provide them with the best learning experience through the competition.

I have further questions regarding the debate competition.
